Process belt solutions for demanding nonwovens production

GKD: "We remove the causes, not just the symptoms."

Worldwide, nonwovens account for a steadily increasing share of the total market in textile sheet products. For 2016, the international industry association Edana expects a global production volume for nonwovens of 10 million tons. In 2014, 2.2 million tons of nonwovens were produced in Europe alone. The main driving forces behind this growth were the automotive, flooring, hygiene product and construction industries. A significant contributing factor to the efficiency and profitability of nonwovens production is the quality, construction and life cycle of the process belts deployed. As an internationally leading manufacturer of application-specifically customised high-performance process belts, GKD – GEBR. KUFFERATH AG and its products have been playing an integral role in industrial nonwovens production for decades now. At the TECHTEXTIL, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, the GKD-WEAVE IN MOTION business unit will be presenting the complete range of its competence in consulting, product development and manufacturing for process belt solutions that are both effective and economical. “We remove the causes, not just the symptoms,” is the motto of this internationally acclaimed solutions partner. At the trade fair in Frankfurt from 4 – 7 May, GKD therefore expects to welcome visitors with specific questions for the process belt experts, who look forward to having talks with them about new applications or options for optimisation.
